The Jeffrey P. Ossen Family Foundation is a Connecticut - based family foundation dedicated to supporting opportunities for people by investing in four key areas: Housing, Food, Emotional and Physical well-being, and Education.
We seek to partner with organizations who can impact and inspire change to create a more equitable, just, and healthy society.
The Foundation’s values stem from the concept of TIKKUN OLAM (Repair of the World)
“We bear responsibility not only for our own welfare, but also for the welfare of society at large; therefore, we are called upon to make the world more just, peaceful, tolerant and equal through acts of charity, kindness, and political action.”
- Jewish Funders Network
The Foundation values collaboration. Working this way requires integrity, authenticity, and kindness from ourselves, as well as others. Likewise, we support organizations that also utilize this approach.
We approach our work with understanding, openness and curiosity, and encourage organizations that focus on just and equitable distribution.
We intentionally seek organizations that have centered the dignity of their diverse constituents and inclusively enable access to quality services.
We value opportunities for people to develop practical skills and educational experiences that form a foundation for self-agency.
Physical and emotional health are a basic right, and we venture to ensure that people have access, regardless of their circumstances.
We seek ideas that are sustainable and impactful, then support those in alignment with our goals.
